DESCRIPTION:Beansidhe (pronounced Ban-chee) is an acoustic Celtic band loca
 ted in Western North Carolina. Their music comprises Irish jigs\, ballads
 \, and reels in the most authentic traditional sense.  You will hear the 
 Celtic drum\, guitar\, fiddle\, harp and recorder.  This group has played
  at the John C. Campbell Folk School\, Haywood Council of Performing Arts\
 , Smoky Mountain Community Theater\, and other venues.\nSummer Evening in 
 Webster is a long running concert series held each Sunday evening during t
 he month of July.  It began in 1981 under the sponsorship of the Webster 
 Historical Society and organized largely by Webster resident and unofficia
 l historian\, Joe Rhinehart.  Joe said Professor Robert Lee Madison (foun
 der of Western Carolina University and also a Webster resident) was the in
 spiration for the concerts.  On summer evenings Prof. Madison would play 
 violin on his front porch while his wife would play piano inside the house
  with the window open.  People would stop by to listen.  This summer the
  series continues.  The public is invited to attend the free concerts whi
 ch take place at the historic Webster United Methodist Church. Concerts be
 gin at 6:00 with a reception afterward. There will be a fundraiser spaghet
 ti dinner on July 19th before the evening performance (details attached).
