Webster UMC will host a Fifth Sunday Sing on May 31 at 9:30 a.m. A Fifth Sunday Sing is not a traditional “singing,” though it draws from that rich tradition. Instead, the service weaves together congregational songs as responses to scripture passages that reveal moments from Jesus’ life.
Alongside these musical responses, we will offer a historical and educational reflection on the importance of Wesleyan music and the role it continues to play in the Methodist Church today.
At the heart of the service, we will share a time of special music, featuring contemporary pieces that explore how Jesus meets and moves with us in our lives today. Multiple voices, genres, and instruments—including fiddle/violin, drums, piano, autoharp, and guitar—will help shape this vibrant worship experience.
Everyone is invited to come, sing, listen, and celebrate the many ways God’s story is carried through music. A coffee fellowship will follow the service.
